Prince of Persia poster analysis

Immediately the title is visible and is the largest font on the page connoting the importance of the film and how big a film it is going to be.

The date is also in large located directly beneath the title so the first thing your eye is drawn to is the movie title and then you can immediately see when it is out. This connotes how this is a movie that you cannot afford to miss.

The main character is depicted in warrior’s attire wielding two swords. This connotes that there will be a lot of fighting in this movie.

The only part of the poster that is in colour is the red piece of thread around the main character’s waist. This connotes the danger that the main character puts themselves in and that of which he possesses.

The Walt Disney logo is also present above the title of the film. This connotes the size of the film as they are produced owned by a major company known worldwide.

The cloudy dark region behind the main character connotes a dark past which the character is looking away from and into the light connoting he is leaving that dark past behind to do what he sees is right.

The slogan at the top of the poster reading “Defy the future” connotes that time is a major element in this film and that the characters within it struggle to turn a dark past into a better, brighter future.
